Τεκμήριο Research Project Leadership: Inclusive Leadership and Employee Voice(ΔΙΠΑΕ, 2024-09-19) KATERINI, SMARAGDA; Psychogios , Alexandros; Σχολή Οικονομίας και Διοίκησης, Τμήμα Οργάνωσης και Διοίκησης ΕπιχειρήσεωνThis dissertation was created for an MBA from the International Hellenic University. This paper discusses the critical role of inclusive leadership in increasing employees' involvement and bringing open communication within organizations. Inclusive leadership, based on conceptualizations of fairness, respect for diversity, and open communication, is studied to understand its effects on employee voice behavior, psychological safety, and leader-member exchange relationships. The cross-sectional survey method was followed to obtain data in a heterogeneous sample for assessing these interrelationships. The outcomes show that inclusive leadership does develop the quality of psychological safety and LMX is important for employees to feel open about expressing their thoughts and involving themselves in decision-making. The present study suggests that psychological safety and LMX could have a mediating effect on the relationship between inclusive leadership and voice behavior. It argues that the positive impact of inclusive leadership would be materialized through an impact on these two constructs. Organizational implications include the need to train leaders within the organization to be more inclusive and equitable, thereby developing a nurturing environment where all employees are valued and feel empowered. Hence, future research can understand this nature of dynamics only through longitudinal studies to know about the changing effects of inclusive leadership on employee outcomes with time. Through an improvement in the understanding of these relationships, organizations may develop strategies to leverage inclusive leadership for improved employee satisfaction and organizational performance. I am also grateful for the great and continuous support and advice from my supervisor, Alexandros Psychogios, all through this research. My thanks are also extended to colleagues and friends, and most importantly, my family, for their support in input and assistance.
