Management includes planning, organizing, staffing, leading or directing, and controlling an organization to accomplish the goal. Resourcing encompasses the deployment and manipulation of human resources, financial resources, technological resources and natural resources. This duty involves deploying, manipulating, and allocating efficiently the organization’s resources. Management is also an academic discipline, a social science whose objective is to study social organization. One of the most important duties for a manager is effectively using an organization’s resources. Management is often included as a factor of production along with machines, materials, and money. According to the management guru Peter Drucker (1909-2005), the basic task of management includes both marketing and innovation. Practice of modern management originates from the 16th century study of low-efficiency and failures of certain enterprises, conducted by the English statesman Sir Thomas More (1478-1535). Management consists of the interlocking functions of creating corporate policy and organizing, planning, controlling, and directing an organization's resources in order to achieve the objectives of that policy. The directors and managers have the power and responsibility to make decisions and oversee an enterprise. The size of management can range from one person in a small organization to hundreds or thousands of managers in multinational companies. In large organizations, the board of directors defines the policy which is then carried out by the chief executive officer, or CEO. Some people agree that in order to evaluate a company's current and future worth, the most important factors are the quality and experience of the managers.Τεκμήριο A linguistic approach to marketing communications(ΔΙΠΑΕ, 2016-05-25) Μπόμπολης, Χρήστος; Γκιούρης, Θεόδωρος; Σχολή Οικονομίας και Διοίκησης, Τμήμα Λογιστικής και Πληροφοριακών ΣυστημάτωνOrganizations engage with a variety of audiences in order to achieve their marketing and business goals. Media, such as print and broadcast, cinema and radio; but more and more the Internet, are used to ‘talk’ to and with their clients, potential consumers, providers, financiers, distributors, communities and employees among others. Brands and organizations are presented to their audiences through the means that are provided by marketing communications. The target is to prompt a dialogue that will, ideally, lead to a succession of purchases and complete engagement. This interaction serves as an exchange between each client and each organization; according to the quality and satisfaction of the exchange process, it will or will not be repeated. It is clear, therefore, that communication is an integral part of the exchange process, and it is the skill and judgement of management that decide, in most cases, success or failureΤεκμήριο A linguistic approach to the establishment of an S.A. company(ΔΙΠΑΕ, 2016-05-24) Πιρπίρης, Γεώργιος; Γκιούρης, Θεόδωρος; Σχολή Οικονομίας και Διοίκησης, Τμήμα Λογιστικής και Πληροφοριακών ΣυστημάτωνThis final thesis is a linguistic approach to the establishment of an S.A. This began around 2000 BC in Assyria and Babylonia. Later, in ancient Greece and during the Roman Empire, lenders based in temples made loans and added two important innovations: they accepted deposits and changed money. Archaeology from this period in ancient China and India also shows evidence of money lending activity. Banking, in the modern sense of the word, can be traced to medieval and early Renaissance Italy, to the rich cities in the north such as Florence, Venice and Genoa. The Bardi and Peruzzi families dominated banking in 14th century Florence, establishing branches in many other parts of Europe. Perhaps the most famous Italian bank was the Medici bank, established by Giovanni Medici in 1397. The oldest bank still in existence is Monte dei Paschi di Siena, headquartered in Siena, Italy, which has been operating continuously since 1472. The development of banking spread from northern Italy throughout the Holy Roman Empire, and in the 15th and 16th century to northern Europe. This was followed by a number of important innovations that took place in Amsterdam during the Dutch Republic in the 17th century and in London in the 18th century. During the 20th century, developments in telecommunications and computing caused major changes to banks' operations and let banks dramatically increase in size and geographic spread. The financial crisis of 2007–2008 caused many bank failures, including some of the world's largest banks, and provoked much debate about bank regulation.Τεκμήριο A Lingyistic approach to marketing communicationsΔημητρίου, ΕυάγγελοςThe purpose of this paper is to explore the meaning, usefulness and practices of marketing communications.
