Abstract—Artificial Intelligence is increasingly influencing various domains of human activity, including education, resulting in significant transformations and marking a new era in learning. This paper presents the first systematic effort to employ Artificial Intelligence as a tool for developing digital stories within the context of high school Latin instruction. In this study, 50 digital stories were created using prescribed Latin texts from the official textbooks of the 2nd and 3rd grades of the Greek Lyceum (Upper Secondary Education), with the objective of demonstrating the pedagogical value of this approach. The methodology involved the use of the Artificial Intelligence tool DALL·E, developed by OpenAI, to generate visual materials, and PowerPoint to assemble the final digital stories. While this teaching proposal remains in its initial phase, the findings indicate that integrating digital storytelling with Artificial Intelligence in Latin instruction may bridge traditional teaching methods and contemporary educational requirements. Adopting such a multimodal approach can make the course more engaging, inclusive, interdisciplinary, interactive, and student-centered, thereby enhancing students’ active participation and cultivating skills aligned with current educational standards.
